APPOINTMENTS:

In our clinic we operate an appointment system!

This is a principle I believe in and have practiced since the very early days of my clinic. The appointment system serves in avoiding your long waiting in the clinic and your pet's anxiety due to the presence of many other animals at the same time. It also allowes me to offer the best possible services. My priority is the best possible outcome of every case I undertake and the care of every animal I treat, whether it is a routine visit or an emergency. As a result, I prefer to accept less visits per day as long as the quality of my work is constant.

In case of an emergency, our daily schedule is adjusted in order to give priority to the animal that needs urgent help.

AT YOUR ARRIVAL:

At your arrival, we would advise that you report the reason of your visit immediately, in order to give priority to an emergency case. You can wait either in our indoors waiting area, or on our veranda.

If at the time of your arrival our waiting area is full, you can stay on the veranda until we call you in. There is a second entrance to our consultation room, through the clinic's veranda. This way, anxiety and stress of your pet are eliminated.

Special advice is given to owners of cats, rabbits and birds to have the carrier boxes of their pets covered with towels or sheets. There are several carrier boxes available in our clinic for those owners who do not have one.

THE CONSULTATION:

The consultation starts with a discussion and complete history taking, regarding your pet's current health state, as well as previous treatments.

We continue with a very detailed clinical examination of the patient. If necessary, the option of further tests (blood tests, xrays, utlrasound scans etc.) are available to assist in reaching a diagnosis. If the condition of the patient permits, we prefer performing xrays on a different day and under a procedure appointment.

The environment of our consulting room, is always calm and friendly to make the clinical examination a more positive experience for your pet.

The time we dedicate to each patient, even on routine visits, is of a minimum of 15 minutes in order to perform a complete and thorough clinical examination. We emphasize in educating and informing our clients on preventative methods especially focusing on endemic diseases, disease outbreaks and available treatments.

If necessary, we offer hospitalization for those patients who require further medical/surgical treatment and care.

INFECTIOUS CONTROL!

In our clinic we perform to strict protocols in managing infectious control. All areas are cleaned and disinfected twice daily (afternoon and evening ) after morning and evening consultations/procedures. The kennel area is constantly under disinfection during animal hospitalization as well as after discharge.

We provide Special care to the waiting area of our clinic, ensuring low risk exposure and the prevention of potential contamination to your precious pet. In case your pet has a little "accident " in our indoor /outdoor waiting area, please inform a member of the staff.

OUR PHILOSOPHY!

A few words about our philosophy in practice!

Our priority is always welfare and high quality care, this is why we operate a structured appointment schedule so we can deliver quality over quantity in our working day.

Our basic principles are to protect the welfare of any animal under our care (owned or stray), and to ensure honest communication and the consideration of finacial status of the owner.

I never believed and still do not, in long and expensive diagnostic procedures which lead not only to prolonging the suffering of a very sick animal, but also to exchausting the owner emotionally and financially.

In this present day, I do believe that the role of Veterinary professionals in the community will gradually become more and more important. For this reason I do try in every case I undertake, from the simplest to the most complicated, to give short, cost effective and realistic solutions.

In our clinic, we will always offer the highest possible services and you will be informed of our skills and expertise.

I strongly believe in informing the owners and making them fully aware of their pet's health problems. Starting with health issues that can be prevented, I consider it my duty to educate the owners either via personal contact during the visit or through my informative website.

We do not perform "cosmetic" surgery! (ear/tail amputations) or any other operation that we consider unecessary and painful, despite any finanacial profit.

Respect and appreciation of our working environment are considered our given and unnegotiable rights.

Under no circumstances will we accept aggressive or offensive behaviour!
